Blue Moon
04:44
|
|||
It's the same as it was before.
Draw the curtain, close the door.
Laid out on the tile floor and beg for more.
What it is that keeps me calm,
keeps me grounded, makes me strong.
Steals my focus kills my pain,
fills the space between my body and brain.
With what?
I couldn't tell you
Makes no sense at all,
I'll spin my own truth.
I wake in a blacked out room
the clock is blinking half past noon.
And i know I'll need another soon,
I'll kick at the next blue moon.
And when i do i know I'll need a hand
so please be patient, understand.
And if it kills me i hope you can forgive
my selfishness beat my will to live.
So what?
It makes no difference
whether it's right or wrong
death bears no judgment.
Just know
it's not what I wanted
Makes no sense at all.
It's the same as it was before.
An endless cycle forevermore.

Something New
03:09
|
|||
First it hits your brain, then it hits your heart.
It felt this way before, so close your eyes and wait for something
to lift me from the dark.
And when i come down, i don't want no one else around.
I wanna grit my teeth and pray
for something new
to get me through
this slow unending slew.
I can't breathe in this place
smoking leaves an aftertaste, this is not my coughing (coffin).
So please set me free, I want my life to mean something.
Ain't got much to give, but I swear to God I wanna live.
I wanna live.

Great White North

You know that this will pass, time takes its toll.
This piece that you're missing, one day make you whole.
And when it
dawns on you
just listen,just listen.
Take comfort,
this feeling meant something
and you will move on.
I hope that you're smiling from the Great White North.
Where the wind blows through the pine trees, gives the world a sense of worth.
And when it
howls through you
just listen, just listen.
Take comfort
in the leaves singing
"We are nothing, and the world will go on".

Sing The Hits

Well alright
I guess I'll see you on the other side
of this bridge above the waters of the river that divides
the distance souls that once were close but no longer intertwine
they unwind.
I can barely see
your face as it fades into my memory.
Still I swore I saw you sleeping
with your love beneath a tree
in a forest unfamiliar filled with faces young and free.
When i got up close a thought arose,
it became so clear to me.
This was not reality as you fade into the obscurity of a dream.
When I awoke
you were nowhere to be seen.
And round and round and round we tumbled down
to the sound of something lost that can't be found.
Was it ever there?
So give me evidence you still exist, as I sift through this mess up in my head.
Can't find nothing here.
Then suddenly I remember
that morning in September,
the morning that we met.
And we sung our song so softly
as people drank their coffee
and smoked their cigarettes.
And when we reach the end of the path ahead
in which we tread
well I know you'll be my friend,
and we'll meet again.
And if Chicago winters grow too cold I'll hit the road
you'll be the first to know
I'm on my way back home.
And I'll see you then, yeah I'll see you then...
